
The Library of Parliament has been serving Parliamentarians since Confederation in 1867 and has offered services from its present magnificent location since 1876. The Library offers the information, documentation, research and analysis that Senators and Members of the House of Commons need to effectively represent the interests of Canadians. The Library also publishes information about Parliament and offers various outreach and education programs to more than half a million visitors each year.
